ABOUT OUR WELCOME EVENTS

Living Presence Ministry, a new, pioneering ministry from the United Church of Canada, will be hosting a series of welcome events for new residents of East Gwillimbury.  These events will take place every Saturday from June 3rd until the Labour Day long weekend and run from 11:00am to 1:30pm.  Most events and food are completely FREE to residents.

Five area United Church congregations are hosting these welcome events alongside Living Presence.  These include Trinity on Main, Newmarket; Queensville-Holland Landing, Sharon-Hope United Church, and the Keswick United Church/Ravenshoe United Church Pastoral Charge.

With the influx of new residents to Queensville and Sharon over the summer, the Living Presence Ministry decided to host these welcome events in order to meet our new neighbours and offer an opportunity for new residents to meet each other.  These events are open to everybody, regardless of religious affiliation (or lack thereof).  LPM is also explicitly welcoming of people regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, mental health status, income level or physical ability.  We wish for people to know that they are most welcome here, within their new home community.

ABOUT LIVING PRESENCE MINISTRY

The Living Presence Ministry is a community ministry of the United Church of Canada in East Gwillimbury. We have no church building and there are no Sunday morning services. We will soon operate out of a home in the My Queensville Development.  Our mission is to help people live healthy, meaningful, spirit-filled lives.

No matter who you are, where you come from, what you look like, whom you love or what you believe (or don’t believe)…we want to know you.

No matter what. ?
