IN THE NEWS: Living Presence Ministry welcomes you
If you were wondering what you can do in East Gwillimbury this summer, Living Presence Ministry is offering events on Saturdays throughout the summer.
The new pioneering ministry from the United Church of Canada will be hosting a series of welcome events for new residents of East Gwillimbury.
They will take place every Saturday from June 3 until the Labour Day long weekend, and run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Five area United Church congregations are hosting events in partnership with Living Presence — Trinity on Main, Newmarket; Queensville-Holland Landing; Sharon-Hope United Church; the Keswick United Church; and Ravenshoe United Church Pastoral Charge.
Living Presence decided to host these welcome events to get to meet new neighbours and offer an opportunity for new residents to meet each other. The events are open to everybody regardless of religious affiliation or lack thereof.
This week, the event on June 10 will be at the Queensville-Holland United Church where there will be ice cream from Scoopy Doos and a clown with balloon animals.
Other events throughout the summer include square dancing, corn roast, and live music. For the complete schedule of events and locations, visit livingpresenceministry.org
